About Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College
The Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College (SUVCC) provides services, advocacy, and events to support its members (that’s you!) in achieving educational goals.
The Students’ Union of VCC was formed in 1974 to become the representative body of 15,000 students at Vancouver Community College. As a part of caring about the well-being of its membership, the SUVCC is connected to the heart of campus life, providing students with access to recreation, events, and opportunities to contribute to the community. A member of the British Columbia Federation of Students, and an advocate for students rights, the SUVCC has successfully lobbied for, and implemented a standardized and fair-priced Universal Transit Pass for all Metro Vancouver students. The SUVCC also provides its students with a tailored, high- quality health and dental plan that meets the needs of its diverse constituency.
